The Ford Fusion mid-size car debuted in 2006 and was offered until 2020. Initially, the sedan came in S, SE, and SEL trims, the former with a 160-horsepower, 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine and the latter with a 221-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine. In 2007, a five-speed manual transmission came standard, a five-speed automatic was optional, and features ranged from air conditioning, aluminum wheels, and fog lights to a six-disc CD changer and, for the V6-equipped model, all-wheel drive (AWD).
Skip ahead to model-year 2020, and trim options would include Titanium, SE Hybrid, and SEL Hybrid, too, plus Titanium Hybrid and Energi Titanium. Engine options were as follows: a 173-horsepower, 2.5-liter I4; a turbocharged 181-horsepower, 1.5-liter I4; a 245-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo I4; and two hybrid variants, capable of 188 and 195 horsepower. Six-speed automatic and continuously variable (CVT) transmissions were offered, and features were many. They ranged from the Ford Co-Pilot360 Protect safety suite and Assist package and satellite radio to SYNC 3 infotainment, premium audio, and more. You could even get an SE Appearance Package 151A with alloy wheels, black fog light bezels, and a rear spoiler, among other perks.
